Chino’s son, he was born in Florence in 1898. He completed his studies at the Art School in Piazza Santa Croce in Firenze. He collaborated at a very early age with the San Lorenzo Furnaces, of which he became the artistic director in 1925, after the abandon of this role on the part of Galileo. His attempts to give a new turning point to the production of the factory were remarkable. Amongst his most important we must remember the stained-glass windows of the Hotel Roma in Florence, in the Twenties, which are perhaps his greatest work. His works scattered around the area of Mugello are still numerous. Towards the end of the Thirties, he collaborated in designing the thermal complex in Castrocaro. For this activity he carried out numerous decorations, both pictorial and in ceramics. In this complex, the Pavilion of the Festivals is of great interest, which was designed by Tito, who also took care of the internal fitting-out. Various panels, both in ceramics and painted, are very interesting, and above all the floors decorated with ships. As regards his intense activity as a painter and decorator, we must remember the frescos realized in the Ossuary Temple in Bassano del Grappa, in the Cathedral of Schio, in the Ossuary of Pasubio and in the Margherita Café in Viareggio. He died in Desio in 1947.
